Plumber

Our tap has been dripping for a long time
maybe it is time to change a gasket or two?
I turn off the water and I'll remove piece by piece
checking the instruction every now and thenOld gaskets off, new on
a bit of grease, and then putting it together again.
Turning the water carfully on...
Will the water keep where it should be?

Dripping all gone!
Over to some grub:
Fish and veggies

What about a bit of barley instead of rice?

Very tasty!

Chaotic cod and two halves of an egg

It's an egg:
And a useful one too!
For salt and pepper

And this was my chaotic
oven baked cod
Lovely!

Playing the potato mandoline, and shrinking some spinach

If you meet the Norwegian Mr Potato head with his hat
You'll know that his mandoline isn't far away!
Done in a few seconds

Fingers still in one piece
Thanks Christo, what a useful gadget!

I do like some spinach every now and then.
Have you seen the volume of these leaves!

Ater a little steaming, it looks a bit smaller
and reminds me of something found in the water,
under a bridge

The taste is lovely!

Served with salmon, gratinated creamy potatoes, and broccoli

Salmon says hello!

Salmon, I just love an oven baked piece of fish!
This is the trimmings
that goes well with my fish:
Potato, peas, carrots, quark and a slice of lemon
Every day the clouds are celebrating the drama of
autumn.
Is it here already?

Summer food

Pollock
Browned onions, slowly cooked
The fish and the onions are good friends!
Dessert:
Vanilla icecream, peanuts and NonStop
And for lunch the day after, when the sun is out
with a book on my lap
and the birds singing in the tree!

Kveite for dinner

Kveite or hippoglossus
Is a good fish on a friday!
That's not my everyday fish by the way.
Last time I had it was the day I came home from the hospital
with my first born.
Quite regularely: once every 16,5 year or so.
If I continue like this, I'll probably be a grandmother
next time!

And strawberries is a good dessert on a Saturday!
I eat them as often as I can!

May first

It is spring
flowers in the garden, not many
but we welcome them with happiness and love!

On my plate a white piece of cod

Red wine in my glass

In the my gardens soil

Rhubarb on it's way

Then a muffin from my Pink Princesse

To celebrate my marriage's 18 years anniversary

My other half is enjoying the day at a school reunion

in England, hopefully catching up with old friends and memories!

Fish and falling trees

To my fish, I need color and spice today!
The fish, fried in olive oil and chili
served with rice,
just what I needed
Then a walk in the wood.
Today the wood was full of hvitveis
the ground was covered with a green carpet and white flowers
Several trees had fallen over during the winter

The flowers didn't seem to mind,
they kept on growing on both sides of the root.

Young trees had to bend over, when the older tree fell.

Lighthouse

Sometimes its ok to get high up and flash your light to see far
and be seen from far

And sometimes it's fun to eat tall food.
who says it always has to be served flat?
mash, fishcakes, cauliflower, broccoli, peas and carrots
and a stick (we all need a spine to stand up)

See like I see

Sunrise from my window this morning

A bit later, winter wonder

Our snowy garden
Leftover fish from yesterday
makes good fish soup!
I was generous with the garlic!
