An European phenomenon

Today we're celebrating the Eurovision Song Contest
This is a song competition that has been happening on television every year since 1956!
In Norway we have been participating since 1960.
Along the years, the popularity of this program has been up and down.

Nowadays, it has kind of a cool- uncool status.
You are either openly enjoying it, secretly enjoying it, ignoring it or really hating it
A lot of people watch it, and mean a lot about it
but are embarassed to admit
that they enjoy it.

It is entertainment, glam, dresses, weird songs, and some good ones.
And it's kind of fun too.

This year, Norway is the host, since we won last year.
That is something special for our country,
since we are the ones that has lost most times,
has got "Norway, zero points" most times too!

This year we're cheering for this young man!

Kveite for dinner

Kveite or hippoglossus
Is a good fish on a friday!
That's not my everyday fish by the way.
Last time I had it was the day I came home from the hospital
with my first born.
Quite regularely: once every 16,5 year or so.
If I continue like this, I'll probably be a grandmother
next time!

And strawberries is a good dessert on a Saturday!
I eat them as often as I can!

No pressure in paradise

Our cabin is like a nest
so safe and fitting our needs perfectly
We are a family with different levels of restlessness
Some wants to go frog hunting

Some just want to quietly study the beauty of a flower

Some like the excitement of a poisonous snake

There is no clock at the cabin
There is a lot to do if you want to
and there is a lot of time to no nothing if you prefer that.
There is no pressure in paradise!

May first

It is spring
flowers in the garden, not many
but we welcome them with happiness and love!

On my plate a white piece of cod

Red wine in my glass

In the my gardens soil

Rhubarb on it's way

Then a muffin from my Pink Princesse

To celebrate my marriage's 18 years anniversary

My other half is enjoying the day at a school reunion

in England, hopefully catching up with old friends and memories!
