We're back in our every day life after Christmas
ordinary Tuesdays and Thursdays
Laundry and work
alarmclocks and cups of tea
and sanwiches.
Christmas ornaments back in the attic,
less light in the dark corners of the house
but more space and air
We don't mind
the sun has turned.

My tree is still up, as long as the big kids are still home from college. I don't think I need to let the holidays end too soon, because, after all, college will soon be over, and adult life will end the long, drawn out, lazy days of the Christmas season for them.
