This and that on a Sunday

If you want an alternative to our beloved mashed potatoes

Get some broccoli and cauliflower
Boil it until soft, and mash it

And voila! A different kind of mash, if you need a change!Adding a little bit of butter or cream, makes it mmmm, yummy!

In Norway we have a saying:
"... can't see the forest for the trees"
But sometimes we can se both the forest and the trees
And they are equally important!

And sometimes we just enjoy a little
Jagermeister on the rocks
served in a Moomin Snork Maiden glass

Quite nice indeed!

Cauliflower soup

Cauliflower, spring onions, celery and stock(cube)

After boiling it for some minutes

I remove some of the cauilflower

and mash the rest

I whisk milk, cream and flour to thicken the soup,

and boil in a few minutes

Before serving put the pieces of cauliflower back in the soup to heat

Then it's time for yummy soup!
