Last night my daughter went on a fishing trip
with two of her friends
They stood on a bridge with their fishing rods
casting out and reeling in!
And what happiness and joy!
A mackerel was passing by!
Even though she has become more squeamish with ageBeing a young lady with painted fingernails and all
The excitement over the fish pushed it all asideShe opened it eagerly, to look inside
Studying the guts, finding it very interesting!The fish had fish for it's last supper

While I was telling you about the fishing adventure
She came home again
with two more!
Tonight she would hear nothing of not preparing it
even though we've had our dinner.
Beautiful isn't it!
Turn it in flour with salt and pepper
Fry it in butter or oil
serve with potatoes, sour cream and cucumber salad
Food from the fiord!

the fried fish looks so delicious - being so fresh I would have been tempted to make a spicey salsa and have some slices raw......

Excellent! My daughter would not et the fish, she would just try to hug it and then release it.

You have a great fisher-man/woman in the family. I hope you had great time on your holidays. You came in a perfect season. Not too hot, not many tourists, great weather and good prices. Did you see many places? I'm sure you'll come back soon.
