Cabin cooking

Cooking over an open fire
in an old iron pan
To stirr the soup, this worked perfectly
stirring and watching the fire

Little Chef

Time to serve!

and here I've been complaining about lack of stove :)

Looks fantastic!! What a perfect meal for a chilly day outdoors.

Le Chien: Very cool, and a bit chilly! But so fun! Little Chef is burning firewood like there's no tomorrow! He loves that!

Monica: Still plenty of snow, but it's going, and leaving Oh so much mud! Tomatoe soup it was, his favourite!

Marjie: It's the good life, making a fire and cooking outside, it's great!

Tavolini: I guess you've had enough fire for a while? Food made outside is always good, no matter how much ashes that falls in!

What kinda soup?!?!

Beth: I bet you would have liked it! We have made soup on a beach several times, it's fun! (but never tried a coctail, note to self, must try)

Darius: It was tomato soup, very plain from powdered soup, boil with water, Little chef loves that! We'll be a bit more advanced when the snow goes away, and we can make vegetable soups and other stuff! (it's a bit to muddy for advanced outside cooking now!)
