Time, you just need to take it slow!

Since we're on about lamb.
Here's yesterdays grub:

Slices of a lambs leg
quick browning in the fryiong pan
Carrots and celery
Made a sauce of onions, garlic, crushed tomatoes,
rosemary,thyme, red wine, salt, pepper,
and a pinch of sugar.
Let it cook for 30 min
poured it over the vegetables
and laid the meat on top

Put a bit of feta cheese on the meat

and covered it all.

After one and a halv hour in 185 C

it looked like this:

Oh My!

Not much was said while eating that meal

other than sounds of pure delight and munching..

Cause thats the best food we've had in a long time!

Slow cooking, makes lovely food!

It must be delicious. I think your trip to Greece influenced you. Feta cheese match with any food.

monica: It was just what we needed!

Le Chien: I have to keep the summer-feeling as long as I can! And then let it grow in to the warming feeling of candles and tasty food that comes with the fall.

antigony: I've liked feta cheese a few years now it just grows on you. Now I'm working on olives, and getting there I think!

I wonder,do you have feta cheese there? Or you bought a huge can when you visited Greece? It's a dilicious cheese, don't you think? Try to put a big piece in a aluminum foil and tomato, oregon, capsicum and pepper over the feta! Put it in the oven until the cheese is melting and....yummy! Ow, the foil must be furled, so all the juice of the food will stay in!
