To sum up a good day

I've had a lovely day!

I was shoveling snow in the sunshine

untill my back was wet and my arms tired

When it was time for a break we took out our garden chairs

and had some tea and fruits,

a good talk and sun in our faces

Mittens off and enjoy!

At night, we made home made pizzaand fruit salad for dessert
cause we do love our fruit!
Pink Princess and I
put face masks on to refresh our cheeks
When it dried, we could hardly move our faces
and enjoyed some lemon water
through a straw!

Chocolate cake from heaven

Its Friday, and it's time for a treat.

Brown sugar, butter, eggs, flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and milk

Pears

70% chocolate and a nob of butter

Moist and black chocolate cake with pears!

This and that

Bacon in the financial crisis

There can be a lot of love in a piece of toast

But we need color and taste too

And lucky us to be able to serve home made

Chinese wok (Norwegian style)

Sharpen your chop sticks!
This is the only time I might eat faster than the rest of my family!
(if they keep to the chop sticks that is. )

I'm a slow eater

Well it was a big fish, what can I say!

Fish and fastelaven

It's trout for dinner today:

Beautiful fish don't you think?

clean the guts out under running water

Put some salt, pepper and lemon inside

Bake it in the oven wrapped in foil

and enjoy!

Today we're celebrating something called: Fastelavn

Important on this day is a bunche of twigs decorated like this

And buns with cream inside

and icingsugar drizzled on top.

Bitter sweet love

When I was young I never liked the taste of bitter,

like grapefruit.

But I wanted so much to like it,

cause I loved the way it looked!

Now some good things comes with getting older

my taste has changed

The grapefruit is still bitter, but now

I love

the mix between sweet and bitter

its like life!

Relaxing and getting fed

This is what I did

While my husband made this to me:

Salmon invisible under a pile of, red pepper
leek, carrots, lemon and quark
wrapped and baked in foil.
Mmmm! Yummy!

I liked it!

(Ome) lett

"Lett" means "easy" in Norwegian

and it means "light" too

so today we're having Omelett

which is more or less spelled the same in both Norwegian and English

One with potatoes, ham, cheese and spring onion

an other one with the same just added some red stuff,
like sweet pepper, tomatoe and chili for the less scared ones

Drying up

We seem to be hit by different viruses these days!

This demands different diets:

There has been an increased use of

dry crackers, cola, rice and blueberries among some of the family members.

And others keep guzzling warm tea with honey and warm soup

All this sickness does not inspire much to food blogging!

Pizza Pollo Valentine

Ahh! Pizza the home made style!

I had som chicken breast,

feta cheese, spring onion, red sweet pepper,

and crushed tomatoes

salt pepper, oregano and chili

basil leaves (heaven)

And a glass of beer.. perfect!

And since its Valentine's day: some chocolate hearts for dessert
